Learn about how to safely preserve food at home using a boiling water bath and a pressure canner. Classes are geared to teach those who are new to home canning the basics and provide a refresher to experienced home canners. Sessions are scheduled for the first Thursday of each month from May thru September beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Love Center Food Pantry (1292 Massillon Rd., Millersburg, OH 44654). Topics include: Hands on Water Bath Canning, Freezing, Hands on Pressure Canning, Salsa and Making Jerky and Fruit Leather.

All new volunteers, individuals who have not been an active volunteer in the past year, or those who do not have a current record on file will need to complete and submit the new volunteer application by February 1, 2016.
Applications are available online or at the Holmes County Extension Office. 75 E. Clinton St., Suite 109, Millersburg, OH 44654
Applications submitted after February 1, 2016 will be held until the 2017 4-H year.
