Women and Young Women (high school age) who are interested, involved, or want to become involved in food, agriculture, natural resources, or small business should plan to attend the East Ohio Women in Agriculture Conference on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the R.G. Drage Career Technical Center in Massillon, Ohio. Registration cost is $55 adults/ $30 Students.

The Holmes County Sheep Committee is excited to announce the market lamb give-away for the 2018 4-H year. The contest is open to all 1st year sheep project participants (not just 1st year 4-H'ers). All essays must be submitted to the OSU Extenison office by Friday, March 2, 5:00pm. Further details.

CFAES is co-sponsoring (with Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau) the upcoming Grow by FarmHer event on Friday, February 23, at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center. Of note, Dean Kress will provide the welcome remarks. Please share this information with your department – the target demographic is 16-22 but all are welcome to provide opportunities for networking.

Annie’s Project Retreat for Women in Agriculture
OSU Extension will offer an Annie’s Project Retreat December 1-3 at Salt Fork State Park Lodge and Conference Center, 14755 Cadiz Road, Lore City, OH 43755. Annie’s Project provides education and a support network to enhance business skills of women involved in all aspects of agriculture.
