OSU Extension offices may be temporarily closed at their physical locations, but our virtual offices and our home work spaces are still going strong. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed all our lives and often raised more questions than we have answers. While so many are staying home, concerns with family, food, money, health and more become issues. OSU Extension Family and Consumer Sciences can help by providing information and resources for building Healthy People, Healthy Finances and Healthy Relationships. We help people keep healthy through good nutrition and food safety, use their money wisely, and balance the demands of life and work.
Join us every Thursday afternoon from 4:00-6:00 pm as Family and Consumer Sciences Educator, Kate Shumaker, offers live office hours. These weekly sessions will last until our office reopens. Each session will start with a quick 10-15-minute update on emerging topics and the remaining time will be open for questions and answers from attendees on other topics of interest. Participants are welcome to hangout for the whole session or just drop in to ask their question.
We will be using Zoom for these sessions. To join a session, go to https://osu.zoom.us/j/92125658280. This will be the link for all sessions. (First time Zoom attendees, follow the on-screen prompts to download and run Zoom launcher. The file name is zoomusLauncher.exe). You will be prompted to join the meeting room with computer audio or a phone call. Computer audio is preferred.
It is also possible to join by phone. Simply call 1.312.626.6799, then wait for the prompt to enter the Meeting ID (921 2565 8280).
Your OSU Extension office is still open virtually and working from our homes and here to continue serving you.
