Testing is by appointment ONLY between 5pm-6pm
All poultry must have NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Plan) paperwork from the hatchery where the birds were obtained. If you hatch your own birds or obtain them from anywhere other than an NPIP approved hatchery, the birds must have a pullorum test 30 days or less prior to fair check in. This test is at the cost of the exhibitor. THIS PAPERWORK MUST ACCOMPANY THE BIRDS AT THE TIME OF CHECK IN AT THE FAIR.
Each fancy chicken tested will cost $2, plus $5 for the health certificate (one certificate per group of exhibitors’ chickens, up to 12). All suspect chickens will need confirmatory testing at ODA for an additional charge of $2.00 per bird and one $18.00 accession fee per family. Each fancy turkey tested will cost $3, plus $5 for the health certificate (up to 12) and an $18 perfamily ODA accession fee. The turkey tests will be sent to Reynoldsburg for processing. The junior fair exhibitor will need to bring the health certificate(s) for the birds that were tested to check in at the fair.
